The assault on Kandahar just recently, lead by NATO and United States Forces saw the Taliban killing more innocent people in the conflict. This of course will continue, and many more innocent civilians will be maimed and killed as long as this conflict continues and the more they injure will lead for less support for the NATO and United States Forces in the region. Soldiers and the other brave men and women that make up our defense forces are trained for conflict but the innocent civilian caught up in the crossfire has no training in defending themselves or their families, and these terrorists are fully aware of this.
